Bay to Birdwood
The iconic Bay to Birdwood is one of the worldโs great historic motoring events and has been a standout fixture on the South Australian calendar since 1980.
In 2024, we look forward to welcoming over 1500 vehicles manufactured from the early 1900s through to 31 December 1994.
Historic motorcars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles travel the 67km route from the coastal suburb of West Beach to the National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills town of Birdwood.
With a history spanning back to 1980, the Bay to Birdwood is a well-known and highly respected historic motoring event that brings the community and citizen-collectors from across the globe together for a celebration.
At the National Motor Museum Finish Festival, motor enthusiasts and ticket holders join the citizen-collectors as all 1500 entrant vehicles cross the finish line.
The Finish Festival hosts hundreds of rarely seen historic vehicles, food trucks that offer delicious gourmet street food and Adelaide Hills craft beer, wines and spirits.
We have musical entertainment and plenty of activities for families.
Attendees are encouraged to wear vintage clothing and enter the Fashions on the Field competition for best period-dress.
Winners of the Concours dโElegance, Preservation and EV Conversion awards are presented at the Finish Festival.
